Siti Noor Iasah, Nasharuddin to receive state govt incentive

JOHOR BAHRU, Oct 9 (Bernama) – National paralympic athletes, Siti Noor Iasah Mohamad Ariffin dan Nasharuddin Mohamad will be rewarded by the state government for bagging gold medals at the 2018 Asian Para Games in Jakarta today.

This was announced by State Youth, Sports and Culture Committee chairman Mohd Khuzzan Abu Bakar in a statement here today.

While congratulating the two Johor-born athletes, he said the state government would hold discussions on the incentive for the paralympic athletes from the state who excelled in the Asian Para Games.           

"The success of the Johor athletes would be inspire the Johor contingent at the Malaysian Paralympiad in Perak in December. The success has also brought honours to the state of Johor at the Asian Para Games,” said Mohd Khuzzan.

Siti Noor Iasah who bagged the first gold medal of the country's contingent at Asian Para Games after emerging first in the women's 400m T20 final while Nasharuddin claimed Malaysia's second gold medal in the men's 400m T20.
