Asian Para Games: Noor Radiah misses T20 long jump gold

JAKARTA, Oct 8 (Bernama) -- Rio Paralympic bronze medalist, Siti Noor Radiah Ismail missed delivering Malaysia's first gold medal at the 2018 Asian Para Games when she could only muster a silver in the women's long jump T20 today.

In the event, at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Noor Radiah recorded her best jump at 5.18m, to lose to Indonesia’s Octavia Rica who jumped 5.25m for the gold.

The Malaysian para cycling squad contributed two silver and one bronze medals in the competition held at Bogor.

Nur Azlia Syafinaz Mohd Zais and Mohd Khairul Hazwan Wahab, delivered a silver each in the women's time trial B category and men's time trial B category respectively while Mohd Najib Turano bagged a bronze medal in men's time trial C4 category today.

Five more Malaysian para athletes are scheduled to race in swimming and athletic final events later today.
