KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 29 (Bernama) – The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) said it is in touch with Facebook to ascertain how many Malaysian FB users have been affected by the recent hacking incident.

In the interim, it said users should check their FB security and login page to determine if their account had been improperly accessed.

"Users are also advised to be alert to any suspicious activity on their accounts and to report the same to the authorities," the MCMC said in a statement today.

Reports and complaints can be made to MCMC at 016 2206262, or Personal Data Protection Department at aduan@pdp.gov.my.
