Retail Price Of Non-Subsidised RON95 Set At RM2.60 Per Litre

30/09/2025 02:06 AM

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 29 (Bernama) -- The retail price of non-subsidised RON95 petrol has been set at RM2.60 per litre for the period from Sept 30 to Oct 8, the Finance Ministry (MOF) announced today.

In a statement, MOF said the government will continue to monitor market developments and align RON95 prices in line with global oil fluctuations, while supporting price stability.

“With the implementation of the BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) programme effective Sept 30, 2025, the RON95 retail price without subsidy has been set at RM2.60 per litre.

“Through the targeted subsidy approach, BUDI95 enables Malaysians to enjoy RON95 petrol at the subsidised price of RM1.99 per litre,” it said.

It added that under BUDI95, Malaysians stand to benefit from a subsidy of RM0.61 per litre, and based on the 300-litre monthly limit, this subsidy amounts to up to RM183 per month per individual.

MOF further said that the subsidised price of RON95 for the public land transport sector and the land freight transport sector under the Subsidised Petrol Control System (SKPS) is set at RM 2.05 per litre for the same period.

The retail price of RON97 remains unchanged at RM3.21 per litre.

Diesel prices are maintained at RM2.93 per litre in Peninsular Malaysia and RM2.15 per litre in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan.

According to MOF, the government will continue to monitor global oil price trends and take appropriate measures to safeguard the welfare and well-being of the people.

As for e-hailing drivers, the government will work with E-hailing Operators (EHO) to identify drivers eligible for additional fuel subsidy.

The MOF, together with the Land Public Transport Agency, will finalise the application process for the additional subsidy with the EHOs this week, it said.

It added that the government has agreed to consider allowing boat operators, especially in Sabah and Sarawak, to qualify for the subsidised price.

“The government is working with relevant agencies and the respective state governments to collect data on boat owners to ensure that they are not left out from enjoying the benefits of the BUDI95 subsidised fuel price,” the statement said.
