PUTRAJAYA, Sept 29 (Bernama) -- The Embassy of Malaysia in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, has officially resumed operations effective Sept 23.
In a statement on Monday, the Foreign Ministry (Wisma Putra) said the reopening of the Embassy underscores Malaysia’s commitment to further strengthening the warm and close bilateral relations with Ethiopia.
"It serves as a catalyst for exploring new opportunities for cooperation in various areas of mutual interest, particularly in trade, investment, and people-to-people relations," said the statement.
According to Wisma Putra, the reopening of Malaysia’s embassy in Addis Ababa, the seat of the African Union, will also offer opportunities for Malaysia to bolster its relations with the African Union.
It added that the embassy currently operates at a temporary location at Sheraton Addis Hotel, P.O. Box 6002, Taitu St., Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and can be contacted at +251 115171717 (ext. 349) or via email at mwaddisababa@kln.gov.my.
