KOTA BHARU, Sept 26 (Bernama) -- Kelantan Red Warriors (KRW) have terminated the contract of Kenyan import striker Ismail Salim Dunga after just three matches in the A1 League this season.
According to a statement from KRW, the decision was reached by mutual agreement between the club, agent and player, effective immediately today.
"Ismail, who was brought in at the last minute before the first transfer window of the 2025/2026 Malaysia League (M-League) closed on September 1, did not achieve the performance desired by the club.
"Following discussions with stakeholders, we have agreed to terminate his contract today," KRW said.
The 32-year-old was brought in from Japanese League club Kamatamare Sanuki, and has played three matches for KRW without scoring a goal.
"We would like to thank him for his commitment and dedication to the club and team, and wish him success in his future career," the statement said.
