KOTA BHARU, Sept 21 (Bernama) -- The Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (Cuepacs) called on all civil servants to continue strengthening integrity to retain the people's confidence in the government sector.
Its president, Datuk Dr Adnan Mat, said it always monitors the integrity level among civil servants to prevent any involvement in corruption or misappropriation issues.
"Perhaps, there are some weaknesses that have been exposed by certain parties involving the civil service, but the general perception does not reflect the actual situation.
"As such, we need to take more prudent measures so that the reputation of civil servants is not affected. So far, we are satisfied because all civil servants remain focused on providing the best service to the people and the country,” he told reporters after officiating the launch of the 17th Triennial General Meeting of the KADA Staff Union 2025 at the KADA Headquarters here today.
He added that the excellence of public sector services aligns with the advantages enjoyed by civil servants through the implementation of salary increases by the government starting last year, with the remaining increments slated for next January.
"When these advantages are obtained, surely our focus will be to ensure the best service delivery system for the people and the country,” he said.
