SHAH ALAM, Sept 20 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia MADANI vision, introduced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has been highly successful as some opposition parties are now engaging with all communities, especially the Indian community, said PKR Vice President Datuk Seri R. Ramanan.
He said this was due to MADANI's inclusive approach, which does not sideline any race or marginalise any group.
"This is one of the main reasons why we can now see PAS, which previously never mentioned the Indian community (in its outreach), has changed its approach. (Now they) are saying that we must care for the Indian community. They are seeking allies from parties led by Indian community leaders. Why?
"Because this is the strength of MADANI. MADANI is for all. It is a vision that shows unity among all ethnic groups, including Malays, Chinese, Indians, Dayaks, Kadazans and Ibans," the Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives said.
He told reporters this after attending the Selangor 2025 Cooperative and Entrepreneurship Culturalisation Programme at the Shah Alam Convention Centre here today.
Ramanan was commenting on the move by opposition parties, which are now seen as becoming more friendly towards the Indian community.
