KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 15 (Bernama) -- Malaysia’s finswimming contingent delivered an impressive performance by finishing third overall at the CMAS World Cup Finswimming 2025 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, which concluded yesterday.
National swimmer Regina Cheong Xuan Yun led the charge, clinching two gold medals in the women’s 100-metre and 200-metre immersion events.
Her teammate Louis Chin Teng Aun added a silver in the men’s 200m immersion and a bronze in the 100m immersion, while Rayyan Haaziq Nasrul Hafiz secured another bronze in the men’s 50m bifin.
The women’s 4x100m surface relay team — comprising Valery Thye, Alisha Irdina, Abigail Lim and Jun Hsuen — also contributed to the medal tally with a bronze.
Overall, host Taiwan emerged as champions, followed by Thailand in second place, with Malaysia rounding up the top three.
