PUTRAJAYA, Aug 31 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his cabinet ministers attended the 2025 National Day celebration held at Dataran Putrajaya here today.
Anwar, accompanied by his wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, arrived at the Royal Stage at 7.52 am to witness the parade and performances in conjunction with this year's celebration.
Deputy Prime Ministers Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof arrived at Dataran Putrajaya at 7.44 am and 7.40 am, respectively.
Also present were Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, who is also the Chairman of the Main Committee for the 2025 National Day and Malaysia Day Celebrations (HKHM), Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu and Transport Minister Anthony Loke, as well as other cabinet members.
The celebration themed “Malaysia MADANI: Rakyat Disantuni” was also attended by deputy ministers and foreign dignitaries.
This year’s parade and performance involved 14,062 participants, 81 contingents, 21 marching bands, seven decorated cars, 508 assets from the Royal Malaysian Army and Air Force, as well as 116 animals in public service.
