KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 26 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim received a courtesy call from Singapore's Minister of Defence Chan Chun Sing at the Parliament Building, today.
During the meeting, discussions focused on cooperation in the field of regional security and defence in line with ASEAN's aspirations to maintain peace and stability in Southeast Asia.
Anwar also expressed his appreciation to the republic for its support for the Cambodia-Thailand peace dialogue.
"I also extend my appreciation in conjunction with Singapore's 60th anniversary of independence, besides expressing my hope for the Malaysia-Singapore Annual Leaders' Retreat in December," he said in a statement on his social media site today.
