National Month: Bernama Motorcycle Club Distributes 300 Jalur Gemilang

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 23 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) Motorcycle Club (BMC) distributed 300 Jalur Gemilang flags to road users through the Kembara Jalur Gemilang convoy, which began at the Gombak toll plaza as early as 7.30 am today, in conjunction with the National Month.

The convoy, which featured 20 motorcyclists with various engine capacities, saw active participation from current and former staff of Bernama in boosting the participants' patriotic spirit.

The convoy covered a distance of 200 kilometres, passing through Gombak, the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway, and Fraser Hill before ending in Kuala Kubu Bharu, Selangor.

Among the flag distribution locations are two petrol stations along the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway and the Lemang To'ki food stall in Bentong, which is a popular spot for the motorcycle community.

BMC president Amrizan Madian said the convoy served as a key platform to promote patriotism among the people, and by flying the Jalur Gemilang throughout the journey, it also instilled a sense of love for the country.

"Every flag given (out) not only represents a symbol, but also instills a deep sense of pride and love for the country, in addition to strengthening the spirit of unity and patriotism among people from all walks of life," he said.

Since its establishment in 2023, BMC, formerly known as Bernama Bikers Club, has organised several travel programmes, including visits to the tomb of legendary warrior Mat Kilau in Jerantut, club anniversary celebrations in Janda Baik, and tours to Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Kuantan and Selangor.

BMC, which was officially established on Aug 31, 2023, has a membership of 80.
