KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 21 (Bernama) -- The Friends of Ministry (FOM) under the Federal Territories Department today held an engagement session with Government Backbenchers, giving MPs a platform to share their views on policies and public issues.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories), Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa, said in a Facebook post that 15 FOM among Government Backbenchers have been appointed, including MPs who represent towns across Peninsular Malaysia.

“They play a crucial role in ensuring that national policies, especially those concerning the Federal Territories, remain comprehensive, inclusive, and balanced."

“I hope the session will continue to be held consistently. InsyaAllah, the opportunity to listen, share, and discuss will always remain open for the well-being of city residents,” she said.

She said the meeting was held at Kuala Lumpur City Gallery in Medan Pasar, a restaurant that the department is repurposing as part of its efforts to ensure sustainable development in the capital, while preserving its heritage.
