KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 20 (Bernama) -- Prudential Assurance Malaysia Bhd (PAMB) and Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Bhd celebrated their 25th anniversary of partnership by launching two new products, PRUSignature Care and PRUSignature Plus, to meet the evolving protection needs of Malaysians.

PAMB chief marketing and partnerships distribution officer Eric Wong said Malaysia was among the first countries to launch the collaboration between Standard Chartered and Prudential plc, which continues to grow with the introduction of new products.

"Congratulations to Standard Chartered on 150 years in Malaysia. We are honoured to be a part of this journey... To mark the 25th anniversary of this collaboration, we are proud to once again introduce two new innovative products that reflect our ongoing commitment to meeting the ever-changing needs of our customers," he said in a statement today.

According to him, PRUSignature Care provides comprehensive protection for cancer patients, including financial benefits of up to 100 percent of benefit payments, premium waivers, and annual payments for three years to support recovery.

“If a customer is diagnosed with early-stage cancer, they will receive 50 per cent of the benefit payment and a premium waiver for one year. If they are diagnosed at a later stage, they will receive 100 per cent of the benefit payment, with an additional payment for certain gender-specific cancers.

“When the plan matures, the customer will receive 100 per cent of the total premiums already paid, even if they have made claims for early-stage cancer," he said.

He also said PRUSignature Plus is designed for customers who want to grow their wealth while enjoying lifelong protection through the Wealth Assured Value, which locks in the customer's highest investment value achievement, thus ensuring continuous protection even if the market declines.

“We are excited to offer PRUSignature Care and PRUSignature Plus to our customers. This solution reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation and customer well-being," he said, adding that more information about the products is available through Prudential's official channels.

Meanwhile, Standard Chartered Malaysia head of wealth and retail banking Harmander Mahal, in the same statement, said the collaboration has combined wealth management expertise with Prudential's innovative protection solutions.

“Together, we have helped customers at every stage of life, meeting their ever-changing needs.

“We are excited to continue this journey, helping customers build stronger financial resilience and ensure a brighter future for themselves and their families," he added.
