KOTA BHARU, Aug 7 (Bernama) -- Amid increasingly challenging economic conditions, the Rahmah MADANI sale, held in conjunction with the Kelantan MADANI Rakyat Programme (PMR) 2025, is a source of relief for the people as it offers essential goods at significantly lower prices.
The initiative under the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) not only eases the burden of the rising cost of living but also positions PMR as a people-friendly one-stop platform.
Visitors can also redeem their Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) assistance and purchase subsidised cooking oil, making the Rahmah sale one of the most impactful components of the three-day programme.
Housewife Kamilah Mohamad Nor, 65, from Kampung Seri Kemunting, Besut, said the Rahmah sale enabled her to plan household expenses more efficiently.
“Usually, I spend between RM100 and RM150 on essentials like rice, onions, and flour here. The savings are noticeable and enough to cover our family’s monthly needs,” she told Bernama when met at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium today.
Meanwhile, Mariati Mat Zin, 52, described the Rahmah sale as a ‘smart addition’ to Kelantan PMR 2025.
“I came here for the agriculture exhibition, but took the opportunity to shop at the Rahmah sale. It makes PMR more people-centric and inclusive,” she said.
Kelantan PMR 2025, which kicked off today, is spearheaded by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) in collaboration with the Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department (ICU JPM) and supported by various ministries and government agencies.
The programme offers more than 100 direct services to the public, showcases the latest technologies, and features various community outreach initiatives, all part of the holistic MADANI government approach.
