KOTA KINABALU, Aug 2 (Bernama) -- The National Farmers, Breeders and Fishermen’s Day (HPPNK) 2025 at Sabah International Convention Centre here recorded sales of RM1.6 million and over 163,000 visitors as of 7 pm today.
Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu said the three-day programme that began yesterday is expected to attract more visitors and rake up more sales.
"Besides locals, we also have visitors from Brunei, the Philippines and Indonesia who have come to make HPPNK 2025 a festive affair,” he said during his speech at the close of the HPPNK 2025 convention tonight.
Visitors will have a chance of buying various products at very cheap prices tomorrow, with auction sales expected.
He also expressed his delight at seeing various new efforts in the agriculture sector, including crops of avocado by youth in Sabah.
He also hoped that all parties would remain committed to the development and progress of the agriculture sector, which is no longer seen as a side job but as a profession.
