KUANTAN, Oct 4 (Bernama) -- In a heartwarming display of solidarity, a group of horse riders gathered at Pantai Sepat here today to raise their voices for Palestine, showing unwavering support for the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) mission.

Despite being a small community, the horse owners made a big impact, sending a powerful humanitarian message that resonated with those present.

Around 20 riders, both men and women from diverse backgrounds, participated in a two-kilometre procession, proudly waving Palestinian flags.

The sight of the riders on horseback, galloping along the beach, caught the attention of numerous visitors who were enjoying a leisurely day by the sea.

As the group paraded, the crowd on the beach couldn’t help but chant “Free Palestine,” amplifying the voices of the riders and showing their support for the cause.

Engku Kamalul Kholid Engku Kamarudin, spokesperson for the group, said their effort was a small yet meaningful gesture from the horse-owning community, who wanted to show their deep concern for the ongoing suffering of the Palestinian people.

Their aim was also to rally behind the GSF mission, which is working tirelessly to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza.

“We strongly oppose the oppression faced by GSF detainees and call for their immediate release, without any violations of human rights,” he told Bernama here today.

The gathering was filled with passion and energy, reflecting Malaysia’s diverse communities, including the equestrian group, rising to peacefully advocate for Palestinian rights.

As part of the ongoing GSF mission, over 500 activists from 44 countries, including Malaysia, are sailing towards Gaza to break the Israeli blockade, to deliver vital supplies to Palestinians who have been suffering due to the ongoing attacks by the Zionist regime.

In a recent update, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said  23 Malaysians who had been detained by Israeli authorities since Thursday will be flown out of Israel today on a special flight bound for Istanbul, Turkiye.
