Global Sumud Flotilla Successfully Sheds Light On Zionist Brutality - PM Anwar

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 4 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim described the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) mission to Palestine as a success in raising global awareness about the brutal actions of the Zionist regime, reaching hundreds of millions of people worldwide.

Anwar, who is also the patron of Sumud Nusantara, acknowledged that while the mission faced significant challenges in reaching Gaza’s waters, the GSF activists made a substantial contribution.

"The regime strongly prohibits and resists any form of humanitarian aid. This only occurs when a country is led by leaders with a cruel and uncivilised philosophy. A civilised nation, at the very least, would allow space for humanitarian assistance," he said during a live broadcast on Facebook today.

In addition, the Prime Minister noted that the GSF mission serves as a major lesson for the world. He believes the recent peace plan proposed by US president Donald Trump reflects the widespread global sentiment surrounding the Palestinian issue.

The GSF mission, which involved over 500 activists from 44 countries, including Malaysia, sailed towards Gaza as a symbol of solidarity. The mission aimed to break the Israeli blockade by delivering vital supplies to Palestinian residents severely affected by the ongoing attacks from the Zionist regime.

In a recent update, the Prime Minister announced that 23 Malaysians from the GSF delegation, who have been detained by the Zionist regime since Thursday, will be flown out of Israel today on a special aircraft bound for Istanbul, Turkiye.
