PUTRAJAYA, Aug 9 (Bernama) — The 2025 MYFutureJobs Premium X SPA Career Carnival will be held this November at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), said Public Service Commission (SPA) chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Jailani Muhamed Yunus.
He said the carnival will be one of the highlights of the SPA activity calendar, organised in collaboration with the Social Security Organisation (SOCSO).
“Last February, we held this carnival at the World Trade Centre (WTC) Kuala Lumpur, followed by Kapit, Sarawak, and Kudat, Sabah, in April, Putrajaya today, and, Insya Allah, in Melaka on Aug 17.
“The KLCC event will be our ‘grand finale’ for this year in November, and I am pleased to announce it,” he told reporters after a walkabout at the MADANI SPA Career Carnival here today.
The career carnival aims to enhance public awareness of job opportunities in both the public and private sectors. It offers various services, including career advisory sessions, guidance on recruitment into the public service, and facilities to check application status and job suitability.
Commenting on the MADANI SPA Career Carnival held today, Ahmad Jailani said the one-day event had already drawn 3,000 visitors by the morning.
“Our target was 5,000 visitors, and by this morning we had already reached 3,000. I am confident the number will continue to grow by evening,” he said.
Ahmad Jailani highlighted an innovation at this year’s carnival, an open interview session for the position of Veterinary Officer, Grade GV9. The session targets final-semester students in veterinary or veterinary science programmes, as well as serving officers who meet the scheme’s requirements.
Candidates attending the open interview were also briefed on the Public Service Entrance Evaluation (PSEE), which includes a psychometric profiling test.
“We are open to interviewing all eligible candidates today. This is a new approach and an innovation we are introducing,” he said.
The carnival also welcomed visitors from the disabled (OKU) community, providing them the opportunity to secure jobs that match their qualifications.
“This is in line with SPA’s commitment to achieving a one per cent participation rate for persons with disabilities in the public service,” he added.
