Festive Atmosphere As KMJG 2025 Convoy Rolls Through Kedah

ALOR SETAR, Aug 7 (Bernama) -- The Kedah leg of Kembara Merdeka Jalur Gemilang (KMJG) 2025 convoy entered its third day today with lively celebrations and a strong public turnout, including participation from students at checkpoints in several districts.

Kedah Information Department (JAPEN) director Nurazila Azizan said the KMJG 2025 convoy in Kedah began on Tuesday after receiving the Jalur Gemilang from Penang JAPEN at C-Mart Serai Wangi in Padang Serai, Kulim.

“The Kedah leg involves five checkpoints, and today marks the third. We still have two more checkpoints to go tomorrow in Sik and Baling.

“Along the convoy route, we stopped at several tourist destinations, and Alhamdulillah, the response from the local community was very encouraging.

“For instance, before we headed to Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Dato’ Syed Omar, we were greeted along the way by students from primary schools and preschool children,” she said here today.

The Kedah KMJG 2025 convoy will head to Sik, stopping at Felda Teloi Timur, before ending at the final checkpoint in Baling tomorrow,.

“At the final checkpoint in Baling, Insya-Allah, we will be welcomed by the Orang Asli community. This is something different, because previously, we visited areas with Malay, Chinese, and Indian communities, but tomorrow will be special as we will be including the Orang Asli community.

“We want them to feel equally inspired with love for the country and respect for the Jalur Gemilang,” she said.

According to Nurazila, the convoy, comprising eight vehicles from various agencies and 12 high-powered motorcycles, will then head to Pengkalan Hulu, Perak, to hand over the convoy baton to the Perak JAPEN team.
