Kosma Distributes RM32.54 Million In Dividend To 1,495 Members

KUANTAN, July 31 (Bernama) --  Koperasi Serbausaha Makmur Berhad (Kosma) will disburse RM32.538 million in dividend payments for the financial year 2024 to its 1,495 members starting today.

Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the amount includes RM23.97 million from plantation units, bringing the total dividend payout, including both plantation units and share dividends, to RM56.508 million.

“For the financial year 2024, Kosma’s audited total income recorded a total of RM290.79 million, while net profit was recorded at RM132.77 million,” he told a press conference here today.

He said the dividend payout reflects Kosma’s efficient and effective management, as well as the sustainable returns generated from its investments.

"I believe this dividend distribution will further enhance the well-being of members, staff, cooperative participants, and the wider Malaysian community. Kosma’s success is not coincidental...it is the result of the hard work and consistent effort of its machinery,” he said.

In another development, Wan Rosdy said the state government had recorded revenue collection of more than RM700 million as of yesterday.

He expressed confidence that Pahang will surpass RM1 billion in revenue again this year, marking the fourth consecutive year of achieving this milestone since 2022.

According to him, the state government had also managed to reduce its debt burden from RM3.2 billion to RM900 million through the implementation of prudent financial management.

“We manage leakages and leaks, we spend prudently. Our principle is ‘spend without being wasteful, save without being stingy’,” he said
