KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 11 (Bernama) -- The MADANI government remains committed to fighting all forms of bullying by continuously listening to the views, suggestions and input of all parties to nurture a bully-free generation, says Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.
He said the commitment was reflected through the organisation of the Anti-Bullying Tribunal engagement session held today, which involved the participation of various stakeholders.
“Today, the Anti-Bullying Tribunal engagement session took place in Putrajaya, gathering the views of different parties to strengthen efforts in combating the culture of bullying at all levels of society,” he said in a Facebook post today.
The engagement session, organised by the Legal Affairs Division (BHEUU) of the Prime Minister’s Department, was also attended by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform) Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said, Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek and Fahmi.
Earlier, Azalina said the engagement sessions would continue in several other states, including Selangor, Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan and Perak, starting next week.
She also informed that the anti-bullying bill was expected to be tabled in Parliament during the October session after the engagement sessions were completed.
