KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 29 (Bernama) -- The Kuala Lumpur Park Festival 2025 will take place at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa from Oct 17 to 26, featuring over 100 events highlighting arts, culture, gastronomy and nature.
Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Seri Dr Maimunah Mohd Sharif said the festival, organised by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), will be open to the public for free from 9 am to 11 pm, targeting over 250,000 visitors.
“This festival is an open invitation for all city residents to celebrate diversity, creativity and innovation. It showcases how arts, culture, food and nature can unite communities of various backgrounds,” she told a press conference here today.
She said that this year’s edition carries the theme ‘ASEAN: Unity in Diversity’ through four key pillars: Sustainable Living, Cultural Expression, Community Participation and Nature-based Innovation.
One of the main attractions is Mystical Titiwangsa, an interactive experience that combines horticulture, visual technology and local folklore, such as Puteri Gunung Ledang and Si Tanggang.
Maimunah said other highlights include the KL Genta Drum Festival and cross-cultural dance performances by ASEAN groups, as well as the ASEAN Halal Food Fiesta, showcasing unique dishes from regional bloc nations such as Indonesia, Cambodia and Thailand.
This edition will feature new segments, including an innovative balcony garden design competition, an environmental art exhibition utilising natural materials, heritage landscape displays from Malaysian states, and a sustainable residential landscape concept incorporating Nature-based Solutions.
Visitors can also look forward to the ASEAN Market bazaar with over 100 stalls offering halal food, plants, arts and crafts, alongside outdoor activities such as glamping, water sports, e-sports, traditional games and knowledge-sharing sessions with renowned local and international experts.
Maimunah also said that the TRX ASEAN Unity Garden will be showcased as a satellite event at the Tun Razak Exchange financial district. Concurrently, the NBS Asia Conference 2025, organised by the Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia in collaboration with DBKL, will focus on climate-resilient design and nature-based solutions.
She said the large-scale event is made possible through the support of over 40 strategic partners, with RM1.195 million in sponsorship from Aset Kayamas (main sponsor), Sime Darby (silver), Mah Sing Properties, BSN and TS Law Land (bronze), along with other contributors such as KLCC Property Holding, Alliance Bank, GRAB, Mega Legacy and YMWOO Cooperation.
The mayor welcomed more sponsors to come forward and expressed hope that the Kuala Lumpur Park Festival 2025 will draw strong public participation.
