KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 10 (Bernama) --  Chief executive officer of Cinta Gaza Malaysia Muhammad Nadir Al Nuri Kamaruzaman has called on world leaders to follow the example set by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in supporting the Gaza humanitarian movement.

Muhammad Nadir also called on leaders from Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bhutan, Nepal, the Philippines, Thailand, and other countries with communities participating in the flotilla to declare their support for the safety of the people and all participants of the Global Sumud Flotilla.

“To those who are watching this video, please reach out to your country’s leaders, and especially from Sumud Nusantara, we call you to follow the steps of our Prime Minister, who is the patron of Sumud Nusantara,” he said in a video.

The Global Sumud Flotilla voyage across the Mediterranean Sea, carrying food, medicine, and messages of peace, is scheduled to arrive in Gaza waters in the middle of this month.

Among those participating in the mission are local celebrities, Zizi Kirana and Ardell Aryana, as well as preacher, Rahmat Ikhsan, better known as PU Rahmat. The second group includes 15 Malaysian activists, including influencers, Farah Lee, and ZRA Strim, whose real name is Zainal Rashid Ahmad.

The humanitarian flotilla aims to draw the attention of governments worldwide to pressure Israel to halt the genocide in Gaza and allow humanitarian aid to reach those in need.

The Global Sumud Flotilla unites an international coalition, spanning Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East, with all participating delegations upholding the principle of non-violence, viewing the flotilla not only as a humanitarian mission, but also as a powerful symbol of global solidarity with the people of Gaza.
