YSIJ Donates 2,000 Mattresses, 200 Kettles And 1,000 T-shirts To Johor JPBN

JOHOR BAHRU, Sept 12 (Bernama) -- Yayasan Sultan Ibrahim Johor (YSIJ) today donated 2,000 foldable mattresses, 200 electric kettles, and 1,000 T-shirts to the Johor Disaster Management Committee (JPBN).

In a post on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar’s Facebook page, the handover ceremony at Taman Pulai Utama Hall, Skudai, saw YSIJ managing trustee Datuk Avinderjit Singh presenting the items to deputy state secretary (Management) Datuk Ismail Abu.

“This donation is in preparation for the Northeast Monsoon, which is expected to begin at the end of this year,” the post stated.

Also present at the event were state Civil Defence Force (APM) director Kamal Mokhtar and YSIJ chief executive officer Mohd Anizam Jamian.

Several photos of the handover were shared in the post.

Ismail, who is also the JPBN deputy chairman, expressed his gratitude for YSIJ’s concern for the Johoreans, particularly those affected by disasters.

“We are very grateful for this donation as it helps alleviate the shortage of basic necessities for victims at the temporary evacuation centres (PPS). Additionally, it is hoped that these items will provide comfort to both the victims and the personnel involved,” he told the Royal Press Office (RPO).

Meanwhile, Mohd Anizam said that YSIJ is always ready to assist in the event of a disaster in Johor.

“Our priority is to help complete the basic needs of the victims involved,” he said.
