TIANJIN, Sept 2 (Bernama) -- The Prime Minister’s wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, joined Chinese First Lady Peng Liyuan and spouses of foreign leaders on a river cruise along Haihe River on Monday.
The spouse programme, held on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit 2025, was hosted by Peng.
The guests included the spouses of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Nepali Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and the daughter of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
The boat ride took them along the iconic Haihe River, offering views of the cityscape of rich historical heritage and modern charm as it wound through the port city of Tianjin.
Wan Azizah is accompanying Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on a four-day working visit to China.
