T'ganu Govt Open To Talks With RXZ Members Organisers

KUALA TERENGGANU, Aug 27 (Bernama) -- The Terengganu government is open to meeting with the organisers of RXZ Members 7.0 2025 to resolve the controversy surrounding the programme held at the Gong Badak Motor Circuit, Kuala Nerus, last Friday and Saturday.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar said the state government had recently received a letter from the RXZ Members programme organisers requesting a meeting with the state government.

“The matter (the meeting) is being arranged … Insya-Allah (we will meet),” he told reporters after launching the Terengganu State Privatised Affordable Housing Development Policy at Wisma Darul Iman here today.

Ahmad Samsuri said the state government is also prepared to allow the programme to continue to be held in Terengganu in the future.

He added that the state government has no issues with any parties, including the organisers, and in fact has allocated funds for the programme’s implementation each year.

“Every year since I became Menteri Besar, we have provided funds. The amount, however, varies depending on circumstances and needs. So I won’t go into the details here,” he said.

The RXZ Members 7.0 2025 programme was hit by controversy after Ahmad Samsuri claimed the state government was not invited to the programme’s opening ceremony last Saturday.

However, the programme, which drew about 150,000 visitors, caught the attention of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who allocated a total of RM300,000 to encourage the organisers to continue holding motorsports activities that provide economic impact for the local community and strengthen social ties.
