SHAH ALAM, Aug 26 (Bernama) -- A total of 66 staff of the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) who demonstrated outstanding service and contributions throughout 2024 received recognition at the PKNS 2025 Excellent Service Awards (APC) ceremony held today.
PKNS announced that of the total, 50 employees received the APC while 16 others were honoured as recipients of the Group Chief Executive Officer's Special Award which was introduced for the first time this year.
Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari in his speech at the ceremony stated that PKNS as one of the driving forces of the Selangor economy plays a vital role in ensuring sustainable and competitive progress in accordance with its position as one of the state's high-income generating entities.
In that regard, he hoped that every PKNS employee could adopt new approaches in facing emerging challenges, particularly in development and not be bound by outdated methods so to avoid stagnation to ensure consistent growth and progress in Selangor.
"This applies not only to the award recipients, but all PKNS staff who must continue to serve with dedication and commitment in the pursuit of service excellence.
"I have full confidence that all PKNS employees will continue to work hand in hand to deliver excellent service with integrity while implementing continuous improvement to produce high quality human capital for the sustainability of this agency's role and the progress of the state," he said.
At today's ceremony, the APC recipients each received a certificate of appreciation, a RM1,000 cheque and a performance incentive equivalent to an Annual Salary Increase (KGT) for a period of one year.
Recipients of the Group CEO Special Award also took home a certificate of appreciation and a cheque for RM1,000 each.
The ceremony also celebrated 30 long-serving employees who have served for 20, 25 and 30 years, in addition to honouring 13 retirees in recognition of their loyal service with PKNS.
Long-serving recipients were awarded gold medallions, a Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) premium savings certificate and a certificate of appreciation, while retirees received a gold medallion, a BSN premium savings certificate, a certificate of appreciation and a wristwatch for the spouse.
All awards were presented by Amirudin, who is also chairman of PKNS, who was accompanied by PKNS group chief executive officer Dato' Mahmud Abbas.
