KOTA KINABALU, Aug 24 (Bernama) -- The MADANI Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) Digital Grant (GDPM) Fest 2025 programme reflects the government's commitment to ensuring that MSMEs in Sabah's healthcare sector are not left behind in the wave of technological advancement.
The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) said the programme aims to strengthen the adoption of future technological solutions among Sabah MSMEs, to build a more efficient and inclusive healthcare ecosystem and prepare them to face upcoming challenges.
"The selection of Sabah as one of the GDPM Fest 2025 locations, the final destination after Johor and Pahang, is based on the potential and competitiveness of its unique local community, as well as its role as a key state in advancing the future of healthcare," the commission said in a statement today.
The GDPM Fest 2025 aims to engage the grassroots by promoting stronger collaboration with the medical community and local healthcare entrepreneurs, the commission said.
The MCMC added that it also collaborated with the Health Ministry (MOH) to raise awareness about Guidelines on Online Healthcare Services (OHS), an important effort to ensure the safe, responsible and ethical use of future healthcare platforms.
"MCMC is confident that cooperation with various strategic partners can help unify the roles of the public and private sectors in strengthening the national healthcare ecosystem, while transforming the healthcare experience of the people of Sabah," it said.
The GDPM Fest 2025 was officiated by Communications Ministry deputy secretary-general (Telecommunications Infrastructure) Mano Verabathran.
