WorldSkills ASEAN A Platform To Showcase Malaysia’s Global TVET Talent- Ahmad Zahid 

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 24 (Bernama) -- The participation of the Malaysian contingent in WorldSkills ASEAN Manila 2025 proves that the country is rich with young talent in the field of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) who dare to challenge themselves and compete internationally.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said participants should regard the competition as an opportunity to demonstrate that Malaysian youth in TVET possess global competitiveness, creativity, innovation and a strong fighting spirit.

Ahmad Zahid, who is also Minister of Rural and Regional Development , also wished the best of luck to the entire contingent of 37 young people competing in 23 skill categories.

“Insya-Allah, I am confident all of you are capable of repeating the glorious success we have achieved before, and even creating new history for our beloved nation,” he said in a post on X today.

Ahmad Zahid also reminded the participants to stay focused, get sufficient rest, increase their prayers and place all efforts in the hands of Allah SWT.

“We all stand firmly behind you, praying that success and excellence will always accompany your struggle there. Insya-Allah,” he said.

WorldSkills ASEAN Manila 2025, to be held at the World Trade Center Metro Manila, Philippines from Aug 26 to 28, brings together nearly 300 participants from across ASEAN to compete in 32 (rpt: 32) skill areas including technology, engineering, design, automation, hospitality and many more.
