PM Lauds MTQHA Management, Mohd Na’im Urges Those Involved To Continue To Work Harder

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 10 (Bernama) -- Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim lauded the management of the 65th International Quran Recitation and Memorisation Competition (MTQHA), which concluded yesterday.

In a Facebook post, he stated that the event ran smoothly and had a profound impact on the people and the nation.

Mohd Na'im said the prime minister’s recognition should serve as motivation for those involved to continue working harder, more creatively, and sincerely for the religion, nation, and country.

He also congratulated Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) director-general Datuk Dr Sirajuddin Suhaimee, the 2025 MTQHA committee, and agencies under the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) for the success.

“All the dedication, hard work, and sacrifices of time and effort by everyone involved are noble acts, which we hope will be rewarded abundantly by Allah SWT,” he said.

Malaysia’s male and female reciters won their respective categories at the MTQHA, held at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre here from Aug 2.

Aiman Ridhwan Mohamad Ramlan was crowned the champion for the qari category with a score of 97.01 per cent, surpassing Indonesia’s Ahmad Azroi Hasibuan (95.13 per cent) and Turkiye’s Muhammed Yahya Yildizhan (93.88 per cent).

Wan Sofea Aini Wan Mohd Zahidi won the qariah category, scoring 95.88 per cent, outperforming Morocco’s Fatima Zahra Assafar (89.38 per cent) and Indonesia’s Nur Rahmiyatin Adhya (87.59 per cent).
