KANGAR, Aug 9 (Bernama) -- The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, today called on all people in Perlis to practice a healthy lifestyle, avoid smoking and any illegal substances, and increase their health awareness.
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra said that health is a very valuable asset that must be taken care of to stay healthy for life.
"I want to see individuals, families and communities in the state of Perlis who are concerned and care about the health status of themselves and their loved ones," said His Highness when he officially opened the Health for All Carnival at Dewan 2020 here today.
Also present was the Raja Puan Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Dr Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil, Menteri Besar of Perlis, Mohd Shukri Ramli, and the Minister of Health, Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad.
The two-day carnival, which began today at Dewan 2020, is one of the additional programs in conjunction with the Silver Jubilee celebration of the reign of the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail.
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra called on the people of the state to undergo regular health checks, follow the advice of health professionals, and comply with the recommended treatments so that their health status is always at an optimum level.
However, the Raja Muda of Perlis said that there need to be a structured intervention program that can guide the people of the state with the cooperation of all agencies towards 'Perlis Sihat Sejahtera' (Healthy and Prosperous Perlis).
"In line with the Perlis Go-Digital initiative, I sincerely hope that all the services provided by government departments in the state of Perlis can be fully leveraged to realise this desire more comprehensively, including in the health sector.
"I also believe that under the implementation of this initiative, individual medical records in the future can be accessed quickly through an integrated application, thus facilitating more efficient and holistic healthcare planning," said His Highness.
His Highness added that in addition, the latest health advocacy materials can be developed in a more interactive and easily accessible form for the public to strengthen health literacy and encourage positive behavioral changes among the target groups.
