PAPAR, Nov 2 (Bernama) -- Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) deputy secretary-general Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali has reminded the party’s leaders to put aside personal interests and not sabotage the party if they are not chosen as candidates for the 17th Sabah State Election,
He said that they should, instead, cultivate the sense of responsibility and prioritise the party’s interests for the sake of stability.
“Don’t, just because of our personal interest in becoming a candidate, we destroy the struggle we have gone through together for so long. I hope our leaders have a sense of responsibility and awareness to ensure that the party's cause remains the top priority.
“Our actions today will show the extent of our identity and struggle ,” said Armizan, who is also the Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, at the media conference held at the Kawang Community Development Leader’s Office here today.
Armizan said this when asked about the possibility of sabotage from leaders not selected as GRS candidates in the Nov 29 Sabah polls.
The Election Commission has fixed nomination for Nov 15 and early voting on Nov 25.
