PUTRAJAYA, July 18 (Bernama) -- Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP) deputy secretary-general (Policy and Monitoring) Noor Afifah Abdul Razak has been appointed as chief executive officer (CEO) of the Malaysia Cooperative Societies Commission (SKM), effective July 14, making her the first woman to hold the position.
KUSKOP, in a statement today, also announced that Malaysian Institute of Integrity CEO Rahman Mohd Din has been appointed as the new deputy secretary-general, replacing Noor Afifah, effective on the same date.
Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick presented the letters of appointment to both Noor Afifah and Rahman in a ceremony held here.
He expressed confidence that both individuals will bring positive change and empower the country’s entrepreneurial and cooperative ecosystem, given their experience and expertise in public administration.
“I also hope they will continue to drive excellence in the ministry and SKM to jointly advance the national entrepreneurship policy agenda,” he said.
In the same statement, Noor Afifah expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in her.
Meanwhile, Rahman pledged to continue supporting the development agenda for entrepreneurs and cooperatives through his new role in policy and monitoring.
