JPA Personnel Join Seri Menanti Villagers For MADANI Qurban Programme

SEREMBAN, June 9 (Bernama) -- Approximately 100 personnel from the Public Service Department (JPA) participated in a sacrificial ritual with the local community via the MADANI Adopted Village Qurban Programme at Masjid Diraja Tuanku Munawir Seri Menanti, Kuala Pilah today.

JPA, in a statement, said six heads of cattle were slaughtered during the programme, which began at 8 am and that cash assistance was provided to 24 asnaf (tithe recipients) from Kampung Seri Menanti as a gesture of concern for their wellbeing.

The programme, officiated by JPA Deputy Director-General (Operations) Datuk Nik Nasarudin Nik Zawawi, demonstrates the department's commitment to strengthening ties between government agencies and rural communities, in alignment with Malaysia's aspirations for a MADANI nation.

JPA personnel were involved in the entire Qurban process, including planning, slaughtering, preparation, and distribution of sacrificial meat to residents.

"This act of compassion not only reflects the values of sacrifice and sincerity as encouraged in Islam, but also reinforces mutual respect and love within the local community," the statement said.

The programme is also a proactive step by JPA to support the MADANI Adopted Village initiative, which aims to strengthen social responsibility, promote noble values, and build connections that are centered around people at the grassroots level.

JPA said it hopes that this effort would be a charitable act fostering the MADANI spirit of unity, compassion, and community well-being.
