BALIK PULAU, May 30 (Bernama) -- An elderly man reported missing since yesterday was found injured on a hill slope in the Bukit Titi Serong area here today.

The victim, Teh Seng Keat, 78, who was driving a Perodua Myvi, is believed to have lost control of the car before plunging down the slope.

Penang Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) director Mohamad Shoki Hamzah said the department received an emergency call from the public at 4.08 pm today, informing them that a car had skidded off the road in the area.

As soon as the fire department arrived at the scene, they found a car that had gone off a slope, and a further inspection revealed an elderly man trapped between the rocks not far from the vehicle.

"The man suffered injuries and was in a state of exhaustion. The fire team carried the victim up using a stretcher before handing him over to the Ministry of Health's medical team," he said when contacted by Bernama tonight.

He also said that based on the information, the victim was reported missing yesterday.

Previously, the man's son posted a video on social media seeking public assistance to locate his father, who has been reported missing since 5,30 pm yesterday after going out for a drive.
