PSD DG Appointed UiTM FSPPP Adjunct Professor

SHAH ALAM, Sept 9 (Bernama) -- Public Service Department (PSD) director-general Tan Sri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz has been appointed adjunct professor of the Faculty of Administrative Science and Policy Studies (FSPPP) of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Kedah.

In a statement, UiTM said the appointment, from Aug 15 this year to Aug 15, 2027, is part of its strategic efforts to strengthen collaboration with key government agencies, particularly in the fields of public administration, policy and leadership development.

“The letter of appointment was officially presented by UiTM vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Shahrin Sahib @ Sahibuddin in Putrajaya yesterday,” it said.

Shahrin said the appointment paves the way for wider cooperation between UiTM and PSD, while expressing confidence in Wan Ahmad Dahlan’s expertise and experience.

“We are confident there will be more collaborative initiatives such as research, public service conventions and knowledge-sharing that will benefit UiTM students and members of the public service,” he said.

Wan Ahmad Dahlan also expressed his appreciation for the trust placed in him and pledged to contribute his strategic expertise in line with the aspiration to make Malaysia a regional and international centre of excellence in higher education.

“This appointment is not only an honour but also a trust to strengthen collaboration between higher education institutions and the public service for the country’s stronger and more competitive development,” he said.
