ALOR SETAR, Aug 24 (Bernama) -- The 2025 Milo Breakfast Day celebration to showcase the spirit of unity and advertising a healthy breakfast start every morning ended in Kedah, with the participation of 75,000 people in this edition.
Milo Business Executive Officer Ng Su Yen in a statement today said that this year's edition holds special significance as Milo celebrates its 75th anniversary of nourishing Malaysians.
"With the anniversary theme 'Then, Now and Forever for Malaysia', this beloved brand continues its mission to support an active lifestyle and balanced diet, while honouring its legacy of delivering goodness across generations," she said.
She said this year Milo has toured six locations, starting in Putrajaya and continuing through Johor, Penang, Pahang, Terengganu and finally Kedah to show appreciation to all loyal Milo fans.
"We truly appreciate the trust of all families in Malaysia, passed down from generation to generation. Milo Breakfast Day is one way we fulfill our purpose by encouraging everyone to start their day with a balanced nutrition and be energetic to stay active together,” she said.
According to Ng, Milo’s iconic initiative has evolved into a nationwide movement emphasising the importance of starting the day with a balanced meal and an active lifestyle.
"This year's finale not only completes the six-stop tour, but also highlights the warmth, spirit and unity of the participating communities," she said in the statement.
Ng added that Milo, which has become a symbol of national pride, is the first chocolate malt drink in the country to be awarded the Healthier Choice Logo as proof of its commitment to providing delicious and nutritious products.
"Using high quality ingredients with natural goodness such as barley malt, milk and cocoa, Milo is produced at the Chembong factory in Negeri Sembilan, the largest production plant in the world for the brand.
"More than just a product, Milo remains dedicated to enriching lives through ongoing efforts in nutrition, sports and sustainability, continuing a journey that empowers a healthy lifestyle and a brighter future for generations to come," she said.
The peak of 2025 MILO Breakfast Day was celebrated with great gusto at Taman Tasik Darul Aman in Jitra yesterday after Terengganu, and was graced by the distinguished presence of the Tunku Temenggong of Kedah, Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah.
The main highlight of the event was the three-kilometre Milo Breakfast Run which saw participation from people of all walks of life, followed by a fitness workout. The public also enjoyed interactive stations and milled around the famed Milo Goodness Truck for the swirling scent of the ice-cold chocolatey malt, a ‘comfort food’ which transports them back to a sweltering school sports day when they were just little children running barefoot.
Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz, while participating in the peak event, remarked that Milo Breakfast Day is more than just an event, it is more about fostering a healthier lifestyle and strengthening community bonds.
"I am delighted to see families, friends and citizens coming together with such energy and positive spirit. Events like this remind us of the importance of prioritising health and well-being.
"I hope to see more initiatives that encourage Malaysians to adopt a healthy lifestyle," said Her Royal Highness.
Since its inception in 2013, Milo Breakfast Day has united more than 500,000 Malaysians in a nutritious breakfast start, making it one of the most anticipated wellness events in the country.
