SUNGAI PETANI, Oct 11 (Bernama) — The Armed Forces Fund Board's (LTAT) Jelajah Wira LTAT 2025 tour is a vital platform for engaging contributors, understanding their needs, and strengthening a relationship of mutual trust and shared responsibility.

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said that as the key institution managing the retirement funds of Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) personnel, LTAT plays a crucial role not only in securing their financial futures but also in enhancing their well-being.

"In line with this objective, several initiatives have been launched, including the MADANI Adopted School initiative, AFFIN PERKASA Financial Solution, and Royale Warisan Programme, all of which offer various benefits to MAF personnel and their families," he said in a Facebook post today.

Earlier, the minister officiated the launch of Jelajah Wira LTAT 2025: Northern Edition at Kem Lapangan Terbang.

During the event, Mohamed Khaled also highlighted the newly tabled MADANI Budget 2026, reflecting the government's commitment to defence with a substantial RM21.7 billion allocation.

The allocation includes RM6 billion for the procurement of new assets and RM844 million for personnel housing.

"This initiative reflects the government's determination to build a modern, high-capacity Future Force, ready to face multi-dimensional threats, while recognising defence personnel as the backbone of the nation's peace and prosperity," he said.

During his visit to Kem Lapangan Terbang today, Mohamed Khaled also observed the implementation of Pharmaniaga's MADANI Adopted School programme at Sekolah Kebangsaan Kem Lapangan Terbang.

He said the programme, an initiative of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, aims to enhance educational quality and school welfare, including for schools within military camps, through the involvement of government-linked companies, agencies and the private sector.

"Among the projects here are the Skylert Studio (Digital Green Studio), which builds digital and creative skills. Also underway is a Remote Control Jet project that helps them master practical Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) skills.

"These initiatives, valued at approximately RM50,000, demonstrate the MADANI Government's commitment to providing education opportunities aligned with 21st-century skills, thereby nurturing an innovative and competitive younger generation capable of shaping the nation's future," he added.
