SHAH ALAM, July 28 (Bernama) – The construction of the Selgate Specialist Hospital Rawang (SSH Rawang) is in its final stages and is expected to begin operations soon.
Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said that with a capacity of 224 beds, SSH Rawang will be a new landmark in the delivery of specialist healthcare services in northern Selangor.
“Alhamdulillah, I am pleased to see the positive progress of this project, which is now in its final phase of construction.
“The final inspection by the Ministry of Health is scheduled for July 31 and, insya-Allah, the hospital will begin operations soon,” he said in a Facebook post today.
Amirudin said he had the opportunity to observe the progress of the hospital’s construction today.
The hospital is the first to be developed under the Selgate Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS).
He said SSH Rawang will be equipped with various medical specialities and advanced diagnostic facilities, reflecting the collaboration between the state government and the private sector in expanding access to quality healthcare for the people.
Amirudin added that the move is in line with Selangor’s vision to bring specialist healthcare services closer to the people and to position the state as a leading health hub in Malaysia.
The hospital’s groundbreaking ceremony took place in August 2018.
