KUALA LUMPUR, July 14 (Bernama) -- The preparation of the Thirteenth Malaysia Plan (13MP), which is expected to be tabled in Parliament later this month, was among the items discussed at the 146th Menteri Besar and Chief Ministers’ meeting in Putrajaya today.
Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, in a Facebook post today, said the meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, also focused on the implementation of development projects and issues concerning land ownership in the states.
"This marks the second meeting for this year, and the 146th overall,” he said in the post today.
Shamsul Azri also expressed his commitment to continuing on-the-ground visits and conducting surprise inspections in the states to monitor the implementation of programmes and projects, as part of efforts to advance the civil service reform agenda.
The tabling of the 13th Malaysia Plan is scheduled for July 31.
According to Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, the 13th Malaysia Plan 2026-2030 (13MP) will be a jumping-off point to address the nation’s economic challenges, which include developmental and income disparities, limited fiscal space, and slow economic structural transformation.
