KUALA LUMPUR, July 12 (Bernama) -- Youth association alumni need to be placed in a consultative council to allow them to play a more active role as a bridge between the public and the MADANI government.

Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Adam Adli Abdul Halim said he would bring this suggestion up to Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh to allow youth alumni to play a suitable role.

“Maybe it’s time for us to set up a new initiative to place alumni from youth associations together in a consultative council that we can use to help guide the Youth and Sports Ministry (KBS).

“I will suggest this to Minister Hannah Yeoh with the hope that it will be supported by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi,” he said in a speech during the Gala Dinner held in conjunction with the 4B Malaysia Youth Movement annual general meeting tonight.

He also praised the 4B Malaysia Youth Movement, pointing out that it has not only nurtured activists but also champions of society and grassroots leaders who understood the pulse of the people during his speech.
