Terengganu PMR, Site To Disseminate Information Effectively - Mohamad Fauzi

12/07/2025 02:12 PM

KUALA TERENGGANU, July 12 (Bernama) -- The Terengganu MADANI Rakyat (PMR) 2025 Programme has successfully become a platform for effective dissemination of information regarding government initiatives to the community, said Communications Ministry secretary-general Datuk Mohamad Fauzi Md Isa.

He said the direct involvement of the people in the programme can ensure that every initiative implemented can be understood by the community, through direct interaction with government agencies and ministries participating in the programme over the past three days.

"Whatever (initiative) we do, we will inform the people so that they can experience it for themselves. The people can come here, ask questions if they don't understand... We provide interaction spaces, for example, booths that display various services and information.

"... when we make a product, if consumers don't understand what we want to convey, they don't know what the benefits are, but through this PMR, the people can interact directly and understand the benefits they get," he told reporters here today.

He said this after visiting the booths of Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) which were opened in conjunction with Terengganu PMR which lasted for three days starting Thursday, at Pasar Kedai Payang.

Mohamad Fauzi said that unlike previous programmes, this PMR provides an opportunity for the people to interact directly with government agencies and understand the initiatives being carried out, thus ensuring that it meets the wishes and community needs.

RTM, he said, brought several interesting programmes such as DJ corner, RTM Klik promotions and live coverage throughout the programme while MCMC brought the National Information Dissemination Centre (NADI) initiative, which is a one-stop centre that provides internet facilities to the people throughout the country, especially in rural areas.

“We have 1,099 NADIs nationwide. NADI was created to bring the government closer to the people so that they can access the internet, use online services, and ask NADI managers about government services available," he said.

He also invited the public to come in large numbers and take the opportunity to get information directly and voice their views.

The organisation of PMR 2025 Terengganu recorded an unexpected response when the number of visitors until yesterday reached more than 50,000 people, exceeding the initial target of 25,000 visitors set for the three-day programme.

Themed "MADANI Development, Prosperous People", PMR 2025 was organised by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) through the Performance Acceleration and Coordination Unit (PACU) in strategic collaboration with the Ministry of Works (KKR) and the Implementation Coordination Unit, Prime Minister's Department (ICU JPM).
