SHAH ALAM, July 10 (Bernama) -- The Selangor State Legislative Assembly sitting, which lasted four days, was adjourned sine die.
Selangor State Assembly Speaker Lau Weng San expressed his appreciation to all parties involved in ensuring the smooth conduct of the sitting.
“I would like to thank all state assemblymen, department heads, government officials, and all parties for their cooperation in ensuring the smooth running of the Second Meeting of the Third Session,” he said before adjourning the assembly sitting today.
Meanwhile, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said a total of 12 motions, including a briefing on the gas pipeline explosion incident in Putra Heights, Subang Jaya, were approved and implemented during the session.
“I hope the matters presented during this session will be followed up by the state government administration, including several commitments made in the decisions reached,” he said.
Amirudin, on behalf of all Selangor assemblymen, also extended birthday wishes to former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who celebrates his 100th birthday today.
“May he be blessed with good health and well-being. Despite any differences, his contributions and service to the country deserve our respect,” he said.
The state assembly sitting was then adjourned sine die.
