JOHOR BAHRU, July 3 (Bernama) -- The Larkin Sentral Terminal upgrade project, with a RM2.5 million allocation from the state government, is now 52 percent complete, which is ahead of its original schedule of 48 percent.

Johor Public Works, Transport, Infrastructure, and Communications Committee Chairman Mohamad Fazli Mohamad Salleh stated that the project, which began on April 8, is expected to be fully completed by September 8, 2025.

"The upgrade works involve the construction of an additional roof at the main entrance, provision of a covered bus platform, repair of the main bus entry route, and upgrading of security fences in the departure platform area.

"We hope this good performance momentum can continue until the project is fully completed without any delays. Upgrade works for the toilets at Platform A are also underway, covering both male and female restrooms.

"Physical work for the male toilets was completed on June 11, while the female toilets are expected to be ready by Sept 8, 2025," he said in a Facebook post today.

According to him, the state government is committed to ensuring that every project undertaken meets its schedule for the comfort of the public and to strengthen the Larkin Sentral Terminal's image as the main bus terminal in Johor Bahru.
