SEKINCHAN, June 28 (Bernama) -- The report on the investigation into the Putra Heights gas pipeline fire in Subang Jaya will be made public on Monday, said Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.
He said the report was completed yesterday as scheduled, and based on information received from the investigation committee, it was ready to be presented on that day.
"It (the report) was ready yesterday, but we couldn’t present it as it was a public holiday, so it’s better to do it this Monday.
"We will make it public. We’ll announce it after presenting it to the Cabinet; we have to follow the process," he said.
He told reporters this at the launch of the Phase One Development of the Sekinchan Marine Produce Landing Complex here today.
Earlier, the Selangor Menteri Besar’s Office said in a statement that the technical investigation into the incident was completed as scheduled on June 26.
The blaze and explosion on April 1 destroyed 81 houses with structural damage exceeding 40 per cent, partially destroyed another 81 and affected 57 without burning, while 218 houses were unaffected, including those in Kampung Tengah, Puchong.
