KUALA LUMPUR, June 4 (Bernama) -- The Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP) will channel a one-off assistance of RM500 to recipients of the MAIWP Cost of Living Aid in preparation for Aidiladha.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar said the aid for the year 1446H/2025 would be distributed to recipients this Friday.
“As a gesture of concern in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha, MAIWP will disburse a one-off aid of RM500 to each recipient of the MAIWP Cost of Living Aid on June 6, 2025, corresponding to 9 Zulhijjah 1446H (Friday).
“This assistance is hoped to ease the burden of Aidiladha preparations for the recipients and their families,” he said in a Facebook post.
Assistant Secretary of the Conference of Rulers Datuk Mohd Aseral Jusman previously announced that Muslims in Malaysia would celebrate Aidiladha this Saturday.
