KUALA LUMPUR, July 29 (Bernama) -- Young national bowler Qurratu'ain Izdihar Mohd Pozi continued to put on an excellent performance at the 24th Asian Junior Tenpin Bowling Championships in Doha, Qatar, winning her second personal gold at the tournament.
The athlete, who competed with Adelia Nur Syazalee in the doubles event today, topped the category after successfully recording 2,440 pinfalls.
The number of pinfalls far left their challengers from Taiwan, Ho Yi Qing-Huang Hsin Tsen, who had to settle for second place after recording 2242 pinfalls.
Taiwanese representatives Li Yi Rou-Chen Yun Ying, who competed in the category completed the podium with 2,222 pinfalls
Earlier on Sunday, Qurratu’ain caused a stir when she defeated China’s Li Yiru, by just one pinfall to give Malaysia the gold medal in the women’s individual event.
