KUALA LUMPUR, July 30 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Para Athletics Association president Mohd Zarrawi Ravi Abdullah has been appointed as the Chef de Mission (CDM) of the national contingent to the ASEAN Para Games (APG) 2025, which will take place in Korat, Thailand from Jan 20 to 26 next year.
The Malaysian Paralympic Council (MPM), in a statement, said Malaysia will compete in 19 sports at APG 2025, including athletics, badminton, swimming, powerlifting, table tennis, wheelchair basketball, and wheelchair tennis.
According to MPM, the current focus is on the athlete selection process, including those under the National Sports Council (MSN) development programme.
Meanwhile, in the same statement, MPM announced that MPM Vice President Joshua Edgar will lead the national contingent as CDM for the Asian Youth Para Games (AYPG) 2025 in Dubai, scheduled from Dec 7 to 14 this year.
MPM also confirmed that Malaysia will participate in 10 of the 11 sports contested at AYPG 2025, including athletics, archery, badminton, powerlifting and swimming.
