KUANTAN, June 30 (Bernama) -- Pahang Barisan Nasional (BN) members are assisting with the Johor state election campaign, targeting four specific seats, according to state chairman Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail today.

Wan Rosdy, who is also Pahang Menteri Besar, clarified that the deployment focuses on the Pekan Nanas, Pulai Sebatang, Benut, and Kukup state seats, which fall under the Tanjung Piai parliamentary constituency.

"InsyaAllah, this Thursday I will head to the FELDA area in Segamat to assist the party machinery there," he told reporters at the Pahang 1st 2026 Teachers Appreciation Ceremony and the 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) excellence awards at the Dewan Jubli Perak Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah.

He expressed confidence that BN could secure a victory in the Johor state polls, citing the party's commitment and the positive reception from voters.

"I was in Johor for three days from nomination day and saw the great spirit of the machinery. The BN candidates are highly driven to serve the public," he said.

A total of 172 candidates are contesting 56 state seats in the Johor state election, with polling day set for July 11 and early voting on July 7.
